Despite having the psychological edge going into Summerslam, Danny Jackpot was unable to take the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton. Starting tonight, we have a mini-tournament to determine who's next in line for a World title shot. In the first round, Jackpot takes on the now former US Champion Daniel Bryan (who lost his title at Summerslam to Biff Andreas), while Edge and John Morrison compete. The winners of these two matches will face eachother next week on Smackdown, with the winner going on to Hell in a Cell to face Orton inside the event's namesake match! Eve triumphed over Maria Lopez at Summerslam to become the new Divas Champion. Lopez has confirmed to management that she will be using her rematch clause at Hell in a Cell. Eve will be in non-title action tonight, facing Pam. Athouse scored a win over Zach Starr at Summerslam, but was ambushed by Belmont mid-celebration. Belmont will be interviewed tonight, and will hopefully explain his actions. And f! inally, Chris Johansen and Connor Wine defeated Dolph Ziggler and Christian at Summerslam to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship. They will be in non-title ation tonight against the team of Drew McIntyre and Ted DiBiase.
